Per un motivo o per l'altro (principalmente la pigrizia), il blog non è più una mia priorità al momento ... Ma ciò non significa che verrà abbandonato a sè stesso!

I post saranno meno frequenti rispetto al solito (perchè già prima postavo spesso, eh? :P), però ci saranno lo stesso ... BRACE YOURSELF! ;)

Oscars 2013 - Red Carpet Best Dressed

Come penso sappiate, settimana scorsa si è svolta la premiazione degli Accademy Awards a Hollywood, e volevo approfittare per fare un po' di chiacchere! :)
Svolgendosi di domenica, purtroppo, non ho la possibiltà di seguire lo streaming, dannazione :(

Nonostante non sia riuscita a vedere tutti i film in concorso (ci provo ogni anno, e ogni anno fallisco), ho seguito abbastanza la stagione cinematografica (uscite, recensioni e gli awards precedenti), e ho stilato la mia lista di pronostici vincitori. Ne ho indovinati 12 su 24! :D
Adesso mi appresterò a recuperare tutti i film che ancora non ho avuto modo di vedere (Cloud Atlas, Argo and Life of Pi).

Ma ora passiamo a vedere qual'è la mia Top 5 4 degli abiti più belli indossati sul Red Carpet del Dolby Theatre ...

As I think you know, last sunday was the Accademy Awards day in Hollywood, and I wanted to do some chit-chat about it :)
Unfortunately, I couldn't view the ceremony on streaming, 'cause it was on Sunday night, and I had to work on Monday, damn it :(

Although I wasn't able to see all the movies in competition (I try to,  every year, and every year I fail), I keep myself informed during the movie season (about exits, reviews and other awards), and I've compiled my list of forecasts winners. I guessed 12 out of 24! :D
Now I shall prepare to watch all the movies I missed (Cloud Atlas, Les Miserables, Life of Pi).

But now let's see what my Top 5 4 of most beautiful dresses worn on the Red carpet of the Dolby Theatre ...

Sono tutti abiti che trovo semplicemente stupendi, pur avendo stili lontanissimi tra loro!
Questo per quanto riguarda il Red Carpet, ma stavo pensando di fare un post dedicato agli abiti indossati per gli After Party (solitamente al party di Vanity Fair, o a quello organizzato da Elton John) ... Che ne dite? Quali sono stati i vostri abiti preferiti? :)


I find simply beautiful all of them, although their styles are far distant from one another!
This concerns the Red Carpet, but was thinking of doing a post dedicated to  the After Party outfits (usually the Vanity Fair party, or the one organized by Elton John) ... What do you think? What are your favorite clothes? :)

Forever21: Primo ordine

Ho sentito parlare di Forever21 da moltissime di voi, e già conoscevo la sua varietà di prodotti e i prezzi decisamente abbordabili. Così settimana scorsa, in occasione delle spese gratis, mi sono decisa a fare un'ordine. Tutte le ragazze che ho sentito, non una ha riscontrato problemi, anzi ... Tutte si son trovate bene ed elogiavano le spedizioni velocissime.

I heard about Forever21 from many of you, girls, and I already know it for its variety of items and affordable prices. So, last week, taking advantage of free shipping, I decided to make an order. Every single girl I heard about F21, has no reported any problems, ... Indeed, they all praising fast shipping.


Quindi, approfittando delle spese di spedizione gratuite che hanno offerto settimana scorsa, per il nuovo design del sito, ho fatto un'ordinuccio. Purtroppo non ho ricevuto nessuna mail da loro, e inoltre il numero di tracking del pacco riportato nella pagina dell'ordine era errato, così nel dubbio li ho contattati tramite il servizio clienti. Mi hanno risposto qualche giorno dopo - ho scritto il venerdì, e mi hanno risposto lunedì -, scusandosi del disagio, inviandomi il numero corretto, e informandomi che il pacco risultava consegnato. Stupita, sono andata a controllare sul sito Ups, ed infatti ecco lì la scritta "Consegnato" :D
Evviva! Ed ecco qui cosa ho comprato:

So, I took advantage of free shipping they offered last week, for the new website, and I make a little order. Unfortunately, I didn't received any mail from them, and plus, tracking number on the order page, was wrong. So, when in doubt I contacted their customer service, and they replied to me after few days - I wrote on friday, and they answered on monday -, apologized for discomfort, sending the correct numer, and tell me that the package was delivered. Surprised, I went on Ups website, checking the number, and in fact there it is "Delivered", yay! Here what I bought:

Feathered Linen-Blend Top - 17,75

Con le taglie non ho avuto problemi, sono alta 1,70 e per quanto riguarda magliette e top posso tranquillamente fare riferimento alla taglia che indossa la modella (in questo caso, ho preso tutte S).
Infatti, se c'è una cosa che non comprerò mai su internet, sono pantaloni, jeans e scarpe - e ciò mi dispiace, ma sono quelle cose che devo assolutamente provare! -.

I have no problem with sizes, I'm 1,70 high and for top and t-shirts I can easily refer to the size that model is wearing (in this case, I got all S sizes). In fact, if there's  things that I will not buy on internet, ever, are pants, jeans and shoes.

Concludendo: sono soddisfatta! Certo, devono migliorare il sistema di comunicazione automatica, e spero lo sistemino, magari è dovuto al cambio di grafica del sito, magari qualche codice automatico non corretto ... In futuro penso ordinerò ancora da loro (anche lì, ho la wishlist già completa, ahahah), soprattutto per quel che riguarda abiti e magliette ... La qualità mi sembra buona, ho controllato le cuciture e le varie parti dei capi acquistati e non ho trovato difetti ... Quindi yeah!

In conclusion: I am satisfied! Of course, they should improve the automatic system of  communication, and I hope they fix it, perhaps due to the change of website graphics, maybe some automatic code was incorrect ... In the future I will be ordering again from them (eventhere, I already complete the wishlist, hahaha), especially as regards dresses and shirts ...The quality seems good, I checked the seams and the various parts of garments purchased and I have found no defects ... So yeah!

Èvvintage: Cose scovate da mamma e papà

"Non si butta via niente!", detto popolare usato soprattutto da nonnini e nonnine.
In realtà è vero, tenendo fede a questo detto, gli armadi dei vostri genitori (o addirittura nonni) possono diventare un posto dove scovare nuove meraviglie!

"Do not throw anything away!", popular saying mostly used by grannies.
In facts it's true, keeping faith in this saying, your parents' closet (or even granparents') may become a place to discover new wonders!


L'altro giorno, mentre cercavo negli armadi un po' di stoffe e nastri, per ravvivare la mia pochette triste - qui! - ho trovato questo piccolo oggettino, tanto carino e tanto solo! È un vecchio porta obbiettivo di mio padre, che ha la passione della fotografia, che però ora era lì vuoto e a far niente, tutto solo. Quindi, armata di occhioni dolci, ho chiesto al genitore se gli serviva, ne aveva bisogno, doveva tenerla ... "No, tienilo pure", è stata la risposta che attendevo, ed ora èmmiooo! Per cosa potrei usarlo? Mmmh, porta kabuki (che non ho, ma sono dettagli!)? Credo lo userò come portagioie da viaggio :)

The other day, while I was looking for fabrics and ribbons in the cupboard, to revive my sad clutch - here! -, I found this little cute and lonely thing. It's a case for a camera eye, it's my father's, who has a passion for photography, but now it was empty, and not used. So, armed with sweet eyes, I ask my father if he needed it, or if he wanted to keep it ... "No, keep it well", it was the answer I was waiting for, and now it's mineee! For what could I use it? Mmmh, as case for a kabuki brush (the fact I don't have one is just a detail!)? I think I'll use it as a travel jewerly box :)

Altra scoperta, questa volta direttamente dall'armadio di mamma. Dopo aver visto la mia pochette di Asos - qui! -, forse per la misura, forse per un collegamento a me ignoto, è andata a ripescare una borsa/busta grande che aveva preso appena sposata (più di trent'anni fa!). La borsa è in pelle, e ha una tracolla che si può staccare (e penso la terrò staccata, usandola come pochette).
Non è bellissima?

Another discovery, this time directly from my mother's closed. After seeing my big clutch from Asos - here! -, maybe for the size, maybe for a unknown link to me, she went to take a purse/large envelope that she had bought when she was just married (like thirty years ago!). It's a leather bag, with a shoulder belt that can be removed (and I think I'll keep it off, using it as a clutch).
Isn't it  beautiful?
